Mailifide has no accounts, so we cannot look you up. To help us help you, include your macOS version, whether Apple Intelligence is turned on, and what you expected to happen. Please do not send us suspicious emails or their contents unless we ask; a screenshot of Mailifide's warning is usually enough.

How do I turn on the Mailifide extension in Mail?
Open the Mail app and choose Mail ▸ Settings ▸ Extensions. Turn on Mailifide, then allow both Message Actions (to color and flag new mail) and Message Security (to show Scam Shield warnings above a message). You can also open these settings from Mailifide's Get Started screen.
Why aren't my existing emails tagged?
Mail only lets extensions act on new mail as it arrives, so account tags and Scam Shield apply to messages received after the extension is turned on. Emails already in your mailbox are not changed. To scan an email you already have, use Check a Message in Mailifide.
How does the Scam Shield free trial work?
Scam Shield is an optional auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, and new subscribers get a one-month free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and your Apple ID is charged for the plan you chose. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe. Account tags stay free whether or not you subscribe. See the Terms of Use.
How do I cancel or manage Scam Shield?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple in your App Store account settings. On your Mac, open the App Store app, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click Account Settings, then next to Subscriptions click Manage. You can also go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or use Manage Subscription in Mailifide. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or current period to avoid the next charge; Scam Shield stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
Only for the AI check. With Scam Shield, Mailifide can use Apple's on-device model to read a message for scam tactics, which needs a Mac that supports Apple Intelligence with it turned on. All other checks (sender verification, fake display names, lookalike domains, mismatched links and domain age) and account tags work without it.
A real email was flagged as a scam. What can I do?
Open the warning's details in Mailifide's Scam Shield screen and click the Trust button for the sender's domain (for example Trust example.com). Mailifide will stop warning about mail from that domain. You can see and remove trusted domains under Trusted domains in Scam Shield. Only trust a domain you are sure is genuine: Mailifide helps you spot scams but cannot catch every one, and it can occasionally flag a real email.
What does Mailifide do with my email?
Your email stays on your Mac. Mailifide reads message headers on the Mac to tag new mail, and with Scam Shield it analyses message text and links on the Mac, using Apple's on-device AI where available. Message contents are never uploaded. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads and no third-party SDKs. Optional domain checks send only the sender's domain name, and you can turn them off in Scam Shield. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Everything Mailifide stores is on your Mac. In Mailifide's Privacy screen, use Forget Detected Addresses and Delete Scan History. Remove trusted domains in Scam Shield and tags with Delete Tag, or remove everything at once with Delete All Data. Appfide holds no data about you, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
How do I get a refund?
Apple processes every payment, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides on refunds; we cannot issue them ourselves. If something is not working, email us first and we will try to put it right.
