Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 March 2026

1. Introduction

Appfide Private Limited ("Appfide," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India with its registered office at XXI/152 Panadans, Cochin University Post, Ernakulam – 682022, Kerala, India, operates websites (including appfide.com) and mobile applications published on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access or use any of our Services. By using the Services you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services immediately.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account & Profile Data: When you register or sign in (including via third-party providers such as Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or email/password), we collect your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication tokens.
  • Transaction Data: Purchase history, subscription plan, transaction IDs, and billing information processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Billing, or our web payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay). We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • User Content: Any text, images, or other content you submit through the Services, including contact form submissions, feedback, and support requests.
  • Communications: Records of correspondence when you contact us via email, in-app support, or social media.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Technical Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as IDFV, Android ID), browser type, IP address, language preference, and time zone.
  • Usage & Analytics Data: We use services such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, and Mixpanel to collect information about how you interact with the Services — including screens viewed, session duration, feature usage, and interaction events.
  • Crash & Performance Data: We use Firebase Crashlytics and similar tools to collect crash logs, stack traces, device state at the time of a crash, and performance metrics (app launch time, network latency, UI rendering times) to diagnose and fix issues.
  • Advertising Identifiers: With your consent where required by law, we may collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS and the Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, attribute app installs, and deliver relevant ads. You may limit ad tracking through your device settings at any time.
  • Log Data: Server logs recording your IP address, access times, pages viewed, referral URLs, and HTTP request metadata.

2.3 Contact Form Submissions

When you submit our website contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, phone, subject, message) along with the following technical metadata automatically:

  • Network Data: Your IP address, derived from server request headers.
  • Browser & Device Data: User-Agent string, browser language, platform/operating system, screen resolution, viewport size, colour depth, pixel ratio, hardware concurrency (CPU cores), and device memory (where supported by your browser).
  • Connection Data: Network connection type, estimated downlink speed, and online status (where supported by your browser).
  • Context Data: Timezone, referrer URL, page URL, and cookie-enabled status.
  • Security Data: reCAPTCHA verification score to prevent spam and abuse.

This data is collected passively from standard browser APIs and HTTP request headers without prompting you for additional permissions. It is used solely for fraud prevention, spam detection, and improving our response to enquiries. By submitting the contact form you agree to this collection as described and confirmed through the Terms & Conditions checkbox on the form.

2.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party authentication providers, payment processors, analytics services, advertising networks, and publicly available sources, which we may combine with other information we hold about you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the Services, including processing subscriptions and in-app purchases.
  • Account Management: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and maintain session security.
  • Analytics & Improvement: To understand usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, measure performance, and improve the quality, safety, and security of our Services.
  • Crash Reporting & Performance Monitoring: To identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Advertising & Attribution: To measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, attribute installs and conversions, and — where you have opted in — serve personalised advertisements.
  • Communications: To send you transactional messages (e.g., purchase confirmations, subscription renewal notices), respond to support inquiries, and — with your consent — send promotional communications.
  • Legal & Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, enforce our Terms & Conditions, protect our rights and property, and prevent fraud or abuse.

4. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Certain Services offer auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time in-app purchases processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or third-party payment processors on the web.

  • Subscription and purchase transactions are processed and managed by the respective platform (Apple / Google) or payment processor. We receive transaction confirmation data but do not have access to your complete payment instrument details.
  • Subscription status, plan type, renewal dates, and transaction history are stored in our systems to manage your access to premium features and for financial reconciliation.
  • For information on managing or cancelling subscriptions, please refer to your platform's subscription management settings or Section 7 of our Refund Policy.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting (AWS, Google Cloud, Firebase), analytics (Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), performance monitoring, payment processing (Stripe, Razorpay, Apple, Google), email delivery, and customer support tools — each bound by data processing agreements.
  • Advertising Partners: Where you have consented to ad tracking, we may share device identifiers and attribution data with advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, Apple Search Ads) for campaign measurement and optimisation.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Appfide, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to standard confidentiality requirements.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account and for up to 90 days following account deletion to allow for recovery.
  • Transaction and subscription data is retained for 7 years to comply with financial and tax regulations.
  • Analytics and crash data is retained in aggregated or anonymised form indefinitely, while identifiable log data is retained for up to 24 months.
  • Advertising identifiers are retained for up to 18 months or until you reset your advertising identifier.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls, regular security assessments, and secure development practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies & Consent

8.1 What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. We and our third-party partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixel tags) to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyse usage, and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

8.2 Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential / Security: Required for core site functionality, security features (reCAPTCHA), and session management. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: Help us understand how visitors interact with the Services. We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics (GA4) with Google Consent Mode v2. These cookies are only set when you grant analytics consent.
  • Advertising: Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and, with your consent, deliver relevant ads. These are only set when you grant advertising consent.
  • Functionality: Enable enhanced features and personalisation, such as remembering your preferences.

8.3 Google Consent Mode v2

We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which adjusts the behaviour of Google Analytics and advertising tags based on the consent choices you make. When consent is denied, Google tags use cookieless pings for basic measurement without identifying you. When consent is granted, full measurement capabilities are enabled.

8.4 Your Consent Choices

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, the United States (including California under CCPA), Brazil, or other jurisdictions that require consent, we will display a cookie consent banner when you first visit the site. You may:

  • Accept All cookies.
  • Accept Necessary Only — essential and security cookies only.
  • Customize — choose granularly which categories to allow (Analytics, Advertising, Functionality).

You can change your preferences at any time via the "Manage Cookies" link in our website footer. Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key appfide_consent.

8.5 Non-Regulated Regions

If your timezone and browser language indicate you are in a region that does not legally require prior cookie consent (e.g., India, most of Asia), all cookie categories are granted by default. You may still restrict cookies via the "Manage Cookies" link at any time.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Restriction & Objection: Request restriction of processing or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Opt-Out of Ad Tracking: You can limit ad tracking via your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads).
  • Opt-Out of Communications: Unsubscribe from promotional emails via the link in each email, or adjust notification preferences in the app settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by applicable law).

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including India and the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements, to protect your data in accordance with this policy.

11. Children's Privacy

Most of our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete such information.

11.1 Kids Category Applications

Certain applications published by Appfide are designated as Kids category apps on the Apple App Store — including Grandpa Stories, an audio & image storybook designed for children. In compliance with Apple's App Store Guidelines, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other applicable child-safety regulations, these Kids category applications:

  • Do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or personally identifiable information from users.
  • Do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • Do not require user accounts, sign-in, or registration of any kind.
  • Do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) or any form of device-level tracking.
  • Do not display third-party advertisements or contain links to external websites or apps outside the user experience.

These apps are designed to be a safe, private experience for children. All content is delivered locally or through secure content delivery without any user-level data collection. If you have any questions about our kids' apps, please contact us at [email protected].

12. Third-Party Links & SDKs

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party SDKs (software development kits). This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing your information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy with an updated "Last updated" date, and — where required — by providing notice through the Services or via email. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

14. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (as applicable). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ernakulam, Kerala, India.
