SoundScribe has no login, so we cannot look you up by name or email. To help us find a purchase or a track, include the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings), your device (iPhone, iPad or Android), the track's title and roughly when you made it, and — for purchase questions — the order or transaction ID from your App Store or Google Play receipt.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do credits work?

One credit makes 10 seconds of music, rounded up, so a 1-minute track costs 6 credits. Every action shows its cost before you start: a new track or song costs its length, a video soundtrack the length of the video, regenerating part of a track the length of the whole result, extending a track its new total length, and splitting into stems the track's length. Drafting a section plan is free (up to a daily limit). New accounts do not come with free credits — try the free demos first.

What do the subscriptions and credit packs include?

The Weekly plan adds 30 credits every week and the Monthly plan 90 credits every month. Unused plan credits roll over while you stay subscribed, up to three times your plan's allowance (90 or 270); at that limit a renewal adds no more until you use some. If your subscription ends, unused plan credits expire. Credit packs of 20, 45 or 110 credits never expire and work with or without a plan. While subscribed, your plan's credits are used first.

A track failed. Did I lose my credits?

No. If a track fails, or our AI music partner declines a request — for example because the prompt names an artist or quotes existing lyrics — its credits are returned to your balance automatically (see Settings → Credits). Describing the style you want, instead of naming an artist, usually works. If your balance still looks wrong, email us with the date and time and we will look it up.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open SoundScribe, go to Settings and tap Restore purchases (or tap Restore on the subscription screen), while signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account you bought with. This brings back an active subscription together with its unused plan credits.

I reinstalled the app or got a new device. Where are my credits?

SoundScribe has no login — your credits belong to the anonymous account on your device. If you reinstall on the same iPhone or iPad, the app normally recognises your account and your balance comes back by itself. On a new device, tap Restore purchases to move your subscription and its unused plan credits. Credit packs are not restored by the App Store or Google Play; if you had pack credits on your old device, email us with the transaction IDs from your receipts and we will help.

Why do I need to open the app to collect my tracks?

Your library lives on your device, not on our servers. When a track is ready, the app saves it automatically whenever it is open, and we then delete our copy. A track that is never saved is deleted from our servers 30 days after it was created, and cannot be recovered after that — the app shows how long each unsaved track has left. If you started a track and closed the app, just open it again within 30 days and the track is collected. Make sure your device has enough free space; if it does not, the app keeps trying.

How do I export a track?

Open the track and use the Share button, or Save to Files from the "…" menu. For a video soundtrack, use Export video with music; for stems, Export mix in the stems mixer. Exported copies are yours to keep — deleting a track in the app does not remove them. Since we delete our copy once a track is on your device, export anything you want to keep outside the app, and keep your device backed up.

Are the demos really free?

Yes. The demos cover every mode — instrumentals, songs with vocals, sections, edits, extensions, stems and video soundtracks. Each shows exactly what was entered and what it would normally cost, then replays how it is made. Demos never use credits, and nothing about you is sent to our AI partner. Tap Make my own like this to start from a demo's settings.

What videos can I use for a soundtrack?

Pick an MP4 or MOV video of up to 5 minutes from your library. If it is longer, the app uses the first 5:00; if the file is larger than 95 MB, the app compresses it before uploading. If it is still too large, choose a shorter clip. You can add an optional description and up to 10 tags. The soundtrack costs the length of the video, and your video is deleted from our servers right after your track is made.

How do stems work?

Open a track and tap Separate stems to split it into vocals, drums, bass and other. Then mix them yourself in the stems mixer, export the mix, or share the stems. Splitting costs the length of the track. If our copy of the track has already been deleted, the app uploads the copy saved on your device for the job, and it is deleted when the job finishes.

Do I need an account or to sign in?

No. SoundScribe has no sign-up, no password and no email. The app uses an anonymous, random identifier for your installation. We never see your name or email — see the Privacy Policy.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

SoundScribe only notifies you when a track you started is ready or has failed. Turn Notify me when a track is ready on or off in the app's Settings, or in your device's notification settings. You do not need notifications for tracks to be saved — the app collects them whenever it is open.

Can I use the music I make?

You can use the tracks you create in your own projects, such as your videos, subject to the Terms of Use. Use your own lyrics or lyrics you have permission to use, and do not present a track as performed by a real artist. Tracks carry Content Credentials (C2PA) where supported, marking them as made with AI.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by your store. In SoundScribe, go to Settings → Manage subscription, or on iPhone and iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SoundScribe. On Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your credit balance and history and any tracks we are still holding for you, and removes the tracks saved in the app. It cannot be undone — unused credits are lost. Cancel any active subscription in your store account separately. To remove only your music, use Delete all my tracks instead.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are requested from them: for the App Store, use reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, use your Play order history. If a purchase is refunded, the credits it gave you are taken back, and if you have already used them your balance can show an amount owed. If something went wrong with a track, email us first — we can often put it right. See the Terms of Use for details.
